The visit was part of the preparatory events leading up to the National Symposium, where the outcomes of the FITS Training/Research Programme in Dementia Care on 19th Jan 2024 at Lusaka will be discussed.
During the interaction, Dr Rooke and the team explored various aspects of the elders’ health and wellbeing, gaining valuable insights into their unique needs and challenges. The visit was marked by an atmosphere of warmth and compassion as the delegation expressed genuine interest in the wellbeing of the elderly residents.
As a gesture of goodwill and support, Unicaf University donated five bags of mini meals and additional cooking supplements to the elderly population at Kabiko’s Home-Based Care Centre.
