Aims of the Programme
The main aim of the Master of Public Administration programme is to equip students with the skills and understanding needed to address contemporary issues in public administration. By fostering critical analysis, the programme prepares students to thrive in local and international work environments to undertake leadership and managerial positions within the public sector and in this way addressing human resource needs in the public administration sector while contributing to sustainable development.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the programme, the student will be expected to:
a) Analyse Public Administration theories and concepts in real-world contexts, applying them to relevant business scenarios and case studies.
b) Evaluate research paradigms, strategies, and methodologies used in Public Administration for effective secondary data collection, analysis, and evaluation.
c) Apply critical thinking skills to interpret ethical guidelines and implications in research within the field of Public Administration.
d) Demonstrate effective communication by presenting ideas, issues, and positions clearly, and organising thoughts effectively in both academic and organisational contexts.
e) Independently investigate complex issues, demonstrating autonomy and creativity in problem-solving, while critically reflecting on information, concepts, and theories to make informed judgments and decisions.
