Unicaf University Hosts Inspiring “Women, Work and Wealth” Panel Discussion

Unicaf University successfully hosted a dynamic and engaging panel discussion under the theme “Women, Work and Wealth”, bringing together influential female leaders, professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs for an afternoon of insightful dialogue and empowerment.

The event attracted 126 participants from a diverse range of organisations, including the Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ), She Entrepreneur, Prudential, and Express Credit. The session created a vibrant platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and meaningful discussions around women’s professional growth, financial independence, and overall well-being.

The panel featured an esteemed lineup of speakers who shared practical insights and personal experiences from their respective fields:

  • Miriam Nalomba, CEO of Semba Foods, spoke on Empowering Women Entrepreneurs, highlighting the importance of resilience, innovation, and leadership in building successful businesses.
  • Jane Mazimba, Financial Expert, delivered valuable perspectives on Financial Literacy and Wealth Management, emphasising the need for informed financial decision-making.
  • Sandi Champala, CEO of Tech Trends, explored Innovation, Technology, and Sustainable Impact, encouraging women to embrace digital transformation and technological opportunities.
  • Masozi Bweupe, Programme Coordinator at Unicaf University, addressed Health, Well-being, and Work-Life Balance, underscoring the importance of maintaining holistic wellness alongside professional success.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Dr Clement Chela, Dean of Applied Health and Sciences, who reaffirmed the University’s commitment to empowering communities through education and professional development. The panel discussion was expertly moderated by Mrs Abigail Chalwe, Dean of Students, whose engaging facilitation encouraged active participation and thoughtful dialogue.

The programme was hosted by Ms Lubasi Munalula, who served as Master of Ceremonies, ensuring a seamless and engaging flow throughout the session. Following the panel, attendees were introduced to the wide range of academic programmes offered by Unicaf University, designed to support career advancement and lifelong learning.
